Jamie Janawitz joins MB Aerospace as Chief Technology Officer

We are pleased to announce that Jamie Janawitz will join MB Aerospace as Chief Technology Officer on 3rd December 2018.

Jamie joins us with 26 years of differentiated experiences in engineering and operations management in product and service environments across General Electric. He brings a proven ability to develop and integrate all aspects of technology, strategy, product development, operations, and services to successfully build new businesses.

Jamie’s extensive background includes roles of growing responsibility and leadership across GE’s Energy Services, Aero Energy, Energy Environment Services, Power, and Energy businesses. He has built a diversified technical leadership career with a foundation in design engineering expertise. Most recently Jamie served as the Chief Technology Officer for GE Power’s Industrial Solutions Business – which was a global $2.7B P&L. He was responsible for a 550-person engineering team across 13 locations and 8 countries focused on integrating technology and product development for the business.

Jamie received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Union College, a MS in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University and a MBA from Emory University. Jamie will be primarily located out of the corporate offices in East Granby, CT reporting directly to Tim Scott, Chief Operating Officer. Jamie will be responsible for the wider engineering performance of the group, encompassing leadership of the Engineering team as well as specific responsibilities for NPI progression, software and technology deployments across each of our businesses. Engineering teams in each business unit will report functionally into Jamie.

Jamie lives in Atlanta, GA and in his spare time enjoys spending time with his wife, Michelle, and his three boys.
